Teddy Grey is a New York-based artist who has been developing a following online over the past few years by releasing offbeat, homemade projects such as the feature-length Youtube cult hit "Garfeld: The Musical (A Garfield Parody)" in 2019, and his debut mixtape "Rock N Roll McDonalds" in 2020. Often writing with a satirical and theatrical bent, Teddy's work occupies a niche that seems to be expanding with each coming project due to its homespun charm and ability to wring poignancy out of ridiculous topics. His upcoming double concept album "The Great Failed Romances of the Twentieth Century" is his most ambitious work yet, and shows Teddy taking a hard pivot into indie rock, while still keeping the theatrical and pop-punk influences of his previous work. The diverse double album is a project that stems from a lifelong fascination with iconic couples, messy breakups, and the pop culture of years past. With over a decade spent in the theater and a feverish obsession with studying the pop music of bygone eras, Teddy’s unique influences and experiences have made him specially equipped to bring a project such as this one to life. "The Great Failed Romances of the Twentieth Century" is the first work that showcases the full breadth of his influences and abilities, with 30 memorable songs to sing and stories to tell.
